Aoi K18 sapphire with enamel cuff ring

A deep lapis lazuli blue sapphire. The 22K gold was used to create undulations around the stone, giving it a rich texture. Steps were added and off-white enamel was poured around the stone. This gorgeous piece looks like an ancient jewel, but also has an Art Deco vibe.

 True sustainability is about utilizing resources that are already here on earth. With this belief in mind, we use precious stones removed from old jewels. In Japan, precious gemstones that should have been passed down from generation to generation are being given away, traded at low prices, and sent overseas.
